With modern communication networks, the presence of multiple frequency bands makes the multiband RRU feature critically important. A multi-band RRU must function within and be compatible with various frequency ranges to support the network’s different services and standards. Think of a 5G network, for instance, using sub-6GHz and millimeter-wave frequencies. Operational RRU challenges should be posed by neither of these bands. As a result, these added multiband capabilities allow operators to provide enhanced service offerings, while customers benefit from improved access courtesy of more efficient use of the radio-frequency spectrum.
