Optical Synchronous Network (OSN) Equipment Core of Optical Transmission Network

In OSN the optical communication reliability depends critically on the testing of optical power. First, a power meter of suitable range bound is chosen. The optical power outlet and the OSN device's optical inlet socket are connected together by the test fiber. After calibration of the power meter to zero, a device is set to transmit constant optical signals and the optical power on the port is measured. The measured value is compared with the expected range to determine Fibber attenuation, connectors, or other related devices issues. Tests done regularly help prevent communication failure and enhance the performance of the entire system.
